Neck roll-Weight Reducing Exercises
Neck, shoulder and back muscles tense up when they get tired; especially when you have been hunched over a table or desk for some time. These and the following exercises will help to rest and to relax them.
Sit Comfortably on a chair, or kneel on the floor and sit back on your heels. Let your head drop forward, very gently, as for as can.
Slowly roll your head round to the shoulder and hold it for there for three seconds.
Continue rolling the head slowly back through another 90 and hold it there for three seconds.
Roll the head slowly to the left shoulder and hold it for three seconds.
Roll the head forward again and hold for three seconds.
Now repeat the exercise, rolling the head in the other direction.
This exercise should never be done quickly. The object is very gently to stretch and then relax all the neck muscles, and to do it with smoothness and grace.
