Amanda Beard - United States
Amanda Ray Beard Was born October 29, 1981 in Newport Beach,
California. She is an American Olympic swimmer and model. She
made her first Olympic appearance at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic
Games at the age of 14. She won silver medals in the
100-meter and 200-meter breaststrokes, and a gold in the
medley relay. In 2003 she became the world champion and world
record holder in the 200-meter breaststroke. At the 2008 US
Olympic Swim Trials, Beard qualified for her 4th US Olympic
Team. Beard finished second in the 200m Breaststroke. |

Victoria Pendleton was born 24 September 1980 in Stotfold,
Bedfordshire, UK. She is an English world champion track
cyclist. She rode her first race, a 400m event on the grass
track at Fordham at the age of 9. Pendleton won one bronze
and three silver medals in the British National Track
Championships in 2001. At the 2007 UCI Track World
Championships, she won the gold in the women's team sprint
with Shanaze Reade. Pendleton has aroused a good deal of
attention by posing occasionally for photographs that appear
on the net. |

Stephanie Rice was born 17 June 1988 in Brisbane, Queensland.
She is a swimmer from Brisbane, Australia, who holds the
world record in the 200 m individual medley. She is a
Commonwealth Gold medalist in the 200 metres Individual
Medley from the 2006.
At the 2007 Melbourne World Championships she won a bronze
medal breaking the record Katie Hoff in the 200 m individual
medley. At the 2008 Australian Olympic trials, Rice broke the
world record in the 400 m individual medley. Her main rivals
in the events are expected to be Kirsty Coventry and Katie
Hoff. |

She is a French professional tennis player of Russia. She is
currently coached by former World No. 1 Mats Wilander. She
was born in Moscow, but she moved to Paris with her parents.
Due to Nadia Petrova failing to defend her title at Paris in
2007, she climbed a spot to a career high ranking of 12. |
