Fast runs scoring has become a trend in One Day International cricket matches. This trend was introduced by the Sri Lankan star batsman-Sanath Jayasuriya. He made the fastest half-century on 17 balls against Pakistan in 1996. This fastest fifty was one of the most remarkable innings of his ODI career.
