The Samsung i550 is a sleek 3G Smartphone which provides the user with all the fastest
mobile technology in a stunning silver or black coloured handset. The casing
is slim & has luxurious look to its design. The built in features &
technologies are the real luxury of the Samsung i550. The 3G Smartphone
measures only 13.8mm in thickness which is slim for a Smartphone & it is
115mm tall by 53mm wide which feels good to operate in a single hand. The
phone comes with a large high colour screen which is 2.6 Inches in size &
the user will find the slim shiny metal keypad easy to use as well as adding
a stylish look to this handset. The i550 is a member of the i range designed
by Samsung which includes other Smartphone handsets including the Samsung
i300, Samsung i400, Samsung i450 & the Samsung i600.
This highly capable Smartphone comes with 150 Mbytes of built in memory & it
has a memory card slot which allows the user to add a MicroSD™ memory card
which can provide the user with up to 4 Gbytes of memory on their phone. The
i550 comes with 3G HSDPA technology with provides the user with a
multitasking phone which allows the user to enjoy high speed Internet
browsing, data transfers & 3G video calls. The phone has a Symbian operating
system version 9.2 & comes with a built in GPS navigation system with Google
maps. The handset comes with a document viewer with allows the user to view
all popular document formats on their stylish Smartphone. The Samsung i550
comes with EDGE technology which provides the user with high speed data
transfer rates which are approximately three times faster than GPRS
transfers. The user can connect to other devices using either a USB cabled
connection or a Bluetooth® wireless connection between compatible
connectivity devices. The user can connect their new handset to their PC,
laptop or printer using the connectivity options available.
The i550 works on a tri band network which covers GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM
1900 which provides the user with roaming in Europe & the majority of the
US, which is fully dependant on the user's network provider. The user can
stay in contact with business contacts, friends & family by sending either a
SMS text message, EMS enhanced message, MMS multimedia message or an email
from their new 3G Smartphone. The user can create, send, edit, save, delete
& receive messages on their handset. The user can choose which type of
message to send to suit their messaging needs & the user can send messages
to compatible messaging contacts. The phone comes with a built in Web
browser which allows the user enjoy accessing the Web on their Samsung i550.
The Samsung i550 will provide its user with all the entertainment on they
need on this portable device. The phone comes with a built in FM radio & a
music player complete with dedicated music keys. The user can enjoy listen
to their music using a Bluetooth® connection with A2DP which provides the
user with a wireless connection between their phone & compatible headset, or
the user can use the 3.5mm audio jack output to connect their headphones.
The entertainment doesn't stop there as the user can record video clips &
capture photos using the built in 3 megapixel digital camera feature. The
camera is easy to use & allows the user to capture all those fun moments as
a still photo or as a moving video recording. The 3 megapixel camera comes
with a flash & auto focus feature which ensures a good shot is captured each
time the user presses the capture key. The user can adjust setting to gain
the best possible finish & effect for each photo or video recording
captured. The phone comes with a second camera which is used for video
calling. The second camera is a VGA camera which allows the user to enjoy a
fun 3G video call with any 3G video calling compatible contacts. The Samsung
