The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is a modern looking slide opening handset which comes in two colour options which include a black & red casing or a silver & blue coloured casing, so therefore the user can express their style by choosing a handset to suit their personal taste. The handset comes with a smooth slide opening casing which allows the user to slide open their handset to reveal a neatly designed numeric keypad & the user to view their screen whilst their phone is either in its slide open or closed position. This XpressMusic handset comes with a QVGA TFT screen which displays up to sixteen million colours its high resolution screen. The user can adjust their phones perimeter coloured light to suit the users taste as well as changing their screen wallpaper to bright & colourful displays for a totally new look. The overall size of the handset is compact so therefore easy to carry which measures 101.2mm tall, 48.5mm wide & 14mm deep & its slide opening design allow the user to enjoy such a compact handset when in its slide closed position. The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is a member of the Nokia XpressMusic range which includes other music handsets such as the Nokia 5630 XpressMusic, the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic & the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic to name a few. The 5330 XpressMusic comes with sixty four megabytes of flash memory, thirty two megabytes of RAM memory & the user can add a compatible memory card up to sixteen gigabytes in size if the user requires more storage on their music phone.
A built in music player is the main entertainment feature on this XpressMusic phone as it allows the user to instantly turn their handset into a high quality portable music playing device. The player supports MP3, MIDI, WMA & WAV music formats for the user to transfer or download onto their Nokia 5330 XpressMusic to enjoy a lively listening experience whenever the user desires. The handset comes with a headphone connection point which allows the user in insert a compatible set of headphones for a more private music listening experience. The user can manage their music using the Nokia music manager application. This handset comes with easy to use & access music controls which are touch music keys which include a forward key, rewind key & a play or pause key. As well as a music player the user can enjoy music & much more including chat shows, news reports & weather updates by using the integrated radio feature complete with a RDS feature. The RDS feature allows the user to view text information on their screen whilst listening to their chosen station which includes information regarding the music being listened to & general information which is relevant to the station the user has tuned into. The user can record sound & audio on their Nokia 5330 XpressMusic which can be stored for a later listening experience or shared with others.
The 5330 XpressMusic comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera feature which has a 4 times digital zoom. The user can capture a picture whenever the mood takes them or when the situation arises as the camera feature can be activated in an instant & also supports video recording capabilities. The user can use their handset in either landscape or portrait mode when capturing a picture or recording a video & the screen works as a beautifully clear view finder for the user. The user will find a perfectly position capture key which allows the user to capture images quickly & easily whilst turning this mobile phone into a digital camera. The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic comes with a LED flash function which means the user can take pictures in darker environments & gain a well lit capture. When the user is recording video they can enjoy a digital zoom whilst recording to get up closer to their subject or subjects & enjoy capturing moving footage with easy to use controls & feature which enhance the overall recording. The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic supports video playing capabilities which means the user can view recording in MPEG4, 3GPP, AVI, ASF, H263, H264 & WMV format on their 3G music phone.
This handset works on a GSM quad band network & 3G network which allows the users to roam worldwide with their 5330 XpressMusic. The overall network coverage is fully dependent on the users chosen network provider so therefore the network coverage may differ from phone to phone. The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic comes with a built in A GPS navigation feature which allows the user to find new places with useful directions on their phone. The 3G technology provides the user of the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic with fast connectivity & allows the user to use multiple features for example browsing the Web whilst taking an incoming call. This phone comes with EDGE technology which provides data transfer speeds which are up to three times faster than GPRS transfer rates. The user can use either a micro USB connection point with a USB cable or a Bluetooth® wireless connection to connect their handset to other devices when the user wishes to transfer files & data. These connectivity options provide the user with two options when connecting to other devices, one using a cable & the other is a wireless connection with compatible devices up to ten metres away. The phones rechargeable battery provides the user with up to 350 hours of standby battery time or up to 7.4 hours of GSM talk time which is reduced slightly if the user is talking over a 3G network to 5 hours talk time.
A Web browser is accessible via the main menu which allows the user to access the World Wide Web for a fun or informative Web experience on the move. The user can create, send, receive & store emails directly from their Nokia 5330 XpressMusic which allows the user to stay in contact with all their email contacts when the user is away from their PC or laptop. The 5330 XpressMusic comes with a selection of messaging services which allow the user to create & share messages to suit the user's individual needs. The phone supports instant messaging which works like a chat using text & can be shared between contacts that are online at the same time as each other. The multimedia message service allows the user to add a picture or video to a message complete with sound & text for a fun way of sharing pictures or video clips with compatible contacts. The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic also supports text messaging & audio messaging which means the user can communicate with others simply using the messaging services when a call is not possible. This 3G phone comes with call features which allow the user to gain the best call experience to suit the users calling needs which include a conference call with up to ten contacts, a hands free speaker call over the phones loud speakers & the handset has a vibration alert which will let the user know a new call or message has arrived by a vibration of the handset.
