Tips About Who are your peers?
A peer is someone who is about our same age or in our class. On the basis of these similarities we may share same needs, feelings, thoughts, likes and dislikes with our peers. Peer relationship make another set of relationships peers can help us to understand our feelings and needs and help us to understand that other people feel the same may as we do. They help us to meet peers to share and talk about feeling happy, angry, sad, proud, afraid and scared. Like our family and friends, peers also influence the way we act and feel because we spend a lot of time with them for instance if one of our classmates a particular club. This will influence the whole class as we may like to dl same things as our classmates or peers do. Many of the students can think to join same club and ask their parents to do this as peers have an influence on them. Sometimes peers farce us to act feel in the same way as they do or like. For instance, in a class some students take a particular kind of school bag. They may force us that we should be like them and use the same kind of bag, otherwise they will not be friendly with us, but our parents may not approve this. When peers try to influence our feelings and behavior this creates peer pressure by teasing us, daring us or sometimes saying something that can hurt our feelings. We become independent and responsible persons if we are in control of our own feelings and behavior as it is our responsibility and it help us to stay well. So, we can make a choice by deciding not to give in peer pressure.
