Why is it good to talk about your feelings?
One way to respond to unhappy and worried feelings is talking about them. We feel better if we talk to someone, when we are angry or sad. Sometime when we talk to someone about a problem then we realize that the problem is not great and our strong feelings make it so great. It is not always easy that we can choose best was to respond our feelings. Talking to a teacher or parents can help us to understand that what the needs that cause these particular feelings are for instance, if a student has to give a presentation on a particular topic. His presentation is ready in all aspects, but still he feels a little scared a day before presentation. He talks to his father about it. His father tells him that he also feels worried when he has to talk in front of a group of people. It helps the student to handle and understand his feelings. He also comes to know that he is not only one who feels worried sometime, but there are other people. It helps him to feel better. Understandings our needs and feelings helps us to act choose the best way to act which in turn helps us to lead a happy, healthy and prosperous life. |
