Gift Tip #1: Money for College Funds
If you have a fund set up for your teenager for college this is a good
time to let people know it.
I've set up the TAP program for my daughters and I have given the account
number to my parents, my husbands parents, and anyone who asks! This keeps
them from buying huge toys that are just not used.
Gift Tip #2: About buying Books
Even if your teenager isn't an avid reader, there are some great books out
right now that might tempt them to become one. The Chicken Soup for a
Teenager Soul series is absolutely excellent, Harry Potter makes life a
fantasy, and Judy Blume's books have not gone out of style.
Gift Tip #3: Your Time
One-on-one time is very valuable and can be the most important gift you
give your teen. Make a date with your teenager for lunch and shopping or
dinner and a movie. If you have more than one child, make a date with each
one separately. Give them your attention for Christmas. If you’re looking
for things to do, try this list. |
