Bat Mammals Information With Pictures
 Bat belongs to mamals family. In all mammals there are 20 % of bats which have 900 different species. A bat has forelimbs and these limbs develop as wings, making them the only mammals naturally capable of flight.Several mammals like flying squirrels glide but cannot stay in the air for long like bats can. Mother bats usually gives birth to one offspring in a year. By emitting high-pitched sounds and listening to the echoes, also known as Sonar, microbats locate prey and other nearby objects. This capability made the human being capable of making the radars which are used in wars to locate the enemy planes.
Few bats drink blood. However there are some Vampire Bats that live in Central America, South America and Mexico that feed on the blood of warm-blooded animals like horses, cattle and birds. The Vampire bat makes a small cut in a sleeping animal's skin and laps up the blood from the wound. Vampire bats need about 2 teaspoons of blood a day to live.
