2012 Volkswagen Beetle Review:
Volkswagen’s Beetle has a powerful charm which attracts people right at first glance. Its look is simply killing. Besides, we can simply call it a retro-styled and sporty car which is redesigned to be called as the all new Beetle. In fact, Volkswagen has named this cute car as the “New” Beetle, but will be simply called as Beetle for 2012.

Engine and other features:
The Beetle is something different which will soon launch in the coming year. It features a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine, but now we have tested the ever-present 2.5 liter 5-cylinder engine which is mated to a 6-speed Tiptronic conventional automatic transmission. This makes the car far more manly and aggressive than its earlier version. Apart from its historical-like styling, the car doesn’t possess much change from inside. Still, there are few things to consider which are no doubt overwhelming. It has a Fender-branded audio system and impressive set of speakers which literally rocks.

Performance:
Volkswagens smaller powertrain offers 2.5 liter engine which makes an output of 170 horsepower and 177 pound feet of torque. To bring maximum power, a 6-speed Tiptronic has been used, forcing the car to run quickly and smoothly. More refined experience can be received due to its 6-speed dual clutch unit. Hydraulic power steering, front struts, stability control system, 4-wheel disc brakes, 2,900 pounds of weight with EPA 20 mpg on city and 29 mpg on highway are some of the features that this Beetle holds.

Price:
Beetle’s price range is set at a start with $18,995. It comes with its two-doors in a range of trim levels representing the base model and added goodies. With five-cylinder feature, the car will boast a moonroof, navigation, heated seats, big alloy wheels, and a range of other goodies which will increase the price at around $7,000 more.
