BMW M5 the fifth generation sports sedan made its appearance in the Detroit 2012 Auto show and surprised the audience with its newly evolved look and an array of gadgets as part of its wonderful technology. You have reason to feel happy as the 10% output increase and 30% torque increase is the highlight of this power source compared to the previous engine it has replaced. M5 races from 0 to 60 mph in straight 4.4 seconds. Although limited to 155mph as the top speed because of the speed limiter, one can remove the limiter to reach to the top speed of 190 mph. Though its acceleration may be little shabby compared to the new Audi S8 accelerating from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds but not forgetting that this is a sedan cum sports car and expert drivers have been able to clock a 0-60 mpg in 3.7 seconds. The engine could be switched over to manual gear shift mode with standard fitted shift paddles on the steering wheel if needed.
